Topic: Teaching of Holy Quran in Pakistani Universities
The teaching of the Holy Quran in universities is fundamental in providing depth to the Muslim youth.
An understanding of their beliefs as well as the preservation and observance of morals, ethics and Islamic values
social justice. In view of its importance and in accordance with Senate Resolution No. 533, it was approved on January 16.
2023 (attached), all Pakistani Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs) are advised to
A course on the Holy Quran with translation, tajweed and tafsir as a compulsory degree award for Muslim students
Required for all undergraduate degree programs effective fall 2023, regardless of whether
Provision of examinations or additional marks. The course will be non-credit.
